Emma won the “Best New Voice” Silver Award at the 2025 UK Audio Production Awards! Hooray!

For her work hosting MUSES: an Ampersand Podcast the award noted:

“…while it was her role on the podcast to present the factually-accurate version of events, as best we can tell, and to put that into social context, she framed everything in fun, engaging and accessible ways, because there's no point spouting academic jargon if you want people who aren’t academics to understand you… In these clips you hear all the attributes of a great podcast host emerge: the ability to read without sounding like she’s reading, and to fold in research – stuff that’s coming up in the script, and stuff that isn’t, but which she just remembered – into the conversation. The art of setting out context for the listener while asking a great question. The courage to challenge ideas and speak up for what you believe in, even if it makes things momentarily uncomfortable, and how to get out of those uncomfortable moments with a joke.”
